The Holloman Air Show “Legacy of Liberty” is a celebration of 75 years of Airpower and we have a lot in store! We’re proud to have the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration team and F-35A Lightning II demonstration team showing off the capabilities of the Air Force’s newest multi-role fighter aircraft. We also have demonstrations from the Army’s Black Dagger helicopter unit. Guests will also get to see several heritage aircraft, or warbirds, each having left its mark in history serving in major conflicts of the past. The air show will also have several kid-friendly activities to include a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) area.

The air show is scheduled for May 7 & 8, 2022. The gates are open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 3:00 p.m. close time for inbound traffic. Admission to the air show is FREE and open to everyone, however parking is limited. Free parking passes are available now at www.HollomanAirShow.com. Early access to register for a parking pass closes April 14, 2022.

Flying will begin around noon and last until 4:15 p.m.

We welcome certified service animals to the air show. Be advised, owners will be asked to show appropriate documentation for their service animal upon entry to the air show grounds. Service animals must remain on a leash at all times.

No. The air show will not be broadcast online or televised. If you want to see the aerial demonstrations and static displays, you’ll have to come in person!

Yes, cameras and video recorders are allowed and encouraged to capture the memories, please see our complete list of prohibited items to know what you should leave at home. demonstrations or protests; or any activity considered detrimental to health, safety, and welfare of persons on the installation. Violators may be ejected from the base and barred from future entry.

We have and will go on as planned rain or shine. Schedules may be altered or delayed for periods of time if heavy rainfall occurs. Follow our airshow event page on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates.

No, coolers and ice chests are not allowed. Large backpacks and duffel bags are not allowed but small bags (no larger than 22” x 14” x 9”) such as purses or diaper bags are permitted. Click here for a full list of permitted and prohibited items.

Parking at the air show is free.  Parking passes were available through April 14 but are not required to park.  Parking is limited and guests are encouraged to arrive early.  Traffic is expected to be heavy and it will take some time to get parked, go through security and take a shuttle to the air show front gate.

Yes, there will be disabled/handicap parking available that is near the entrance to the air show. Those with a disability plate or placard permit will enter through the Main Gate to Holloman AFB. Parking at the air show is free.  Parking passes were available through April 14 but are not required to park.  Parking is limited and guests are encouraged to arrive early.

All DoD ID card holders will use the Main Gate to Holloman AFB for entry to the air show, and do not require registering for a parking pass. Those with a disability plate or placard permit will enter through the Main Gate to Holloman AFB.

No, RVs will not be allowed to be driven to the air show area.

Yes, for the comfort and convenience of our guests, personal folding chairs and blankets are allowed. To view a list of permitted and prohibited items please click here.

Large personal umbrellas, tents and awnings could be safety hazard and are not allowed at the air show. Check out our list of prohibited and permitted items here.

A wide selection of food and beverages will be available for purchase. Guests may bring water in non-glass containers, and only guests with special dietary and allergy concerns may bring small amounts of food. Other outside beverages, including alcoholic beverages and those in glass containers will not be permitted in the air show area.

We will have a variety of food and beverage options for purchase but the base cannot guarantee food options will meet all special dietary needs or restrictions.

Yes, we will have several medical tents staffed with our 49th Medical Group and EMT personnel to provide first aid.

We recommend you bring a few things to keep you and your family safe from the elements and the noise. Sunscreen, water, proper attire and footwear, and some ear protection are a few things you might want to keep on hand. PRE-FLIGHT CHECKLIST.

An entrance plan is being created and will be shared with the public as soon as it is available.

Yes, there will be concessions at the air show for food, drinks and souvenirs.

No, guests may not bring alcoholic beverages on Holloman AFB. Beverages, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic, will be available for purchase.

Yes, port-a-potties will be available throughout the air show grounds.

Yes, there will be opportunities to get both! Many of the performers make themselves available for autographs and pictures during the show.

Yes. The Holloman Air Show “Legacy of Liberty” will offer guests an up-close look at 75 years of Airpower and some amazing aerial demonstrations which means there will be quite a bit of jet noise. Visitors are highly encouraged you bring hearing protection – especially for children.

There will be a limited amount of areas on the flight line that provide shade.  There are a limited number of premium seating tickets that include shade tents.

Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas. Marijuana and illicit drugs may not be brought on Holloman AFB.
